Calculate a pedicure or nail-service tip
Formula and service charge
Target gratuity equals service cost × tip percentage ÷ 100. If a service charge is already present, this calculator credits it toward that target and reports only the additional amount. Confirm how the business distributes the charge before treating it as a staff tip.
Multiple technicians
The result divides the total gratuity evenly among technicians. That is a convenient baseline when work was shared equally. If one person performed most of the service, calculate or allocate individual amounts instead.
Worked example
On a 60 pedicure at 20%, the target gratuity is 12 and the total is 72 when there is no service charge. With two technicians, an equal split assigns 6 to each.
Pedicure versus product purchases
Enter the service portion if you do not intend to calculate a tip on retail products. For a manicure-and-pedicure package, enter the combined service price if the same percentage applies to both.
Frequently asked questions
Does the calculator recommend a tip percentage?
No. The default is only a changeable example; local custom and your decision control the amount.
Can I use this for a manicure?
Yes. The percentage arithmetic and technician split are the same.
